In class, we watched a TED talks about stereotypes. An african woman shared her knowledge about her experiences of stereotypes. She talked about how people classify and choose what others are seen as to them. People get their own image of a certain person based on a single story. Single stories creates images for us that enables us to develop a conclusion. One of my favorite quotes from her "Stereotypes aren't incorrect, they are incomplete." People tend to follow that first story or first sight or first experience but when someone shares another story, people usually ignore. These stereotypes are created by media for us mostly since we use technology so often nowadays. Media can be very bias and usually show the negatives rather than the positives.
